Jennifer Lopez’ production company, Nuyorican Productions, has been working hard to create content for the TV networks, and ABC Family–home of the recently renewedSwitched at Birth and The Secret Life of the American Teenager–has responded. They’ve just ordered a pilot for a comedy-drama called The Fosters…
which will focus on “a lesbian couple raising an ethnic mix of biological and foster kids.” Casting is about to begin, but chances are there will be some Latinos in the mix. Lopez will also serve as executive producer if and when the show is greenlighted…and that’s only one of many projects in the works. Nuyorican is also out there pitching a romantic comedy called Taming Ben Taylor and a coming-of-age series about a young Latina called Sweet Little 15. More news if and when the pilot makes the cut and becomes a series.
