A shot from my Zootopia press day and first fun voice over job, it was very cool!

A shot from my Zootopia press day and first fun voice over job, it was very cool!

And we finished up the day by trying out a little voice over. You can watch all the video interviews below including the trailer.

Zootopia is a fun film—it is funny with an interesting twist. It also has a wonderful message, that is, don’t let others keep you down, keep going forward, follow your dreams. Plus I think Judy Hopps may be small, but she kicks ASS! — A.O.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows

tmnt2Cowabunga! The Ninja’s Rule! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows, the sequel to the 2014 hit film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a fun film to watch. There was something warming to this film I didn’t expect. I think the fans; parents and the kids will enjoy it. And for me, the only weakness I found was, the alien was annoying.

Directed by Dave Green and starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, Stephen Amell, Tyler Perry, Brian Tee, Laura Linney, Sheamus, and Gary Anthony Williams.

The film is in theaters now.

Alice Through the Looking Glass is Empowering!

I liked this Alice more than the first one; to me, it felt like it had an empowering message for young ladies and girls. I didn’t miss having so much of the Hatter in this film. It was all about the women for me, even though the story was about finding the Hatter’s family.

Alice Through the Looking Glass reunites the all-star cast from the blockbuster phenomenon, Alice in Wonderland, including: Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, and Helena Bonham Carter, along with the voices of Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen, and Timothy Spall. We are also introduced to several new characters: Zanik Hightopp (Rhys Ifans), the Mad Hatter’s father and Time himself (Sacha Baron Cohen), a peculiar creature who is part human, part clock.

The film is directed by the very funny James Bobin, who we caught up with at a press event, along with Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska and producer Suzanne Todd. The staging for the press conference was set up just like a tea party.

Along with sharing the press conference audio, I get to finally share our conversation with the super-talented Helena Bonham Carter (Red Queen) that was done over a month ago. She talked to us about juggling family, career and friendships. Please listen in; it’s a good one.

X-Men: Apocalypse is Full of Action

X-Men Apocalypse PosterAnother film in the X-Men franchise is here for us to consume. Director Bryan Singer returns with X-men: Apocalypse, and it’s pretty good. It has the best villain I’ve seen in a long time in Oscar Isaac as En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse. And if you’ve never seen an X-Men movie, this could be the one to start with—it is the beginning.

The plot: since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

The rest of the cast include Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, Josh Helman, Lana Condor, and Ben Hardy.

The film opens on May 27.

Ma Ma Opens in the U.S.A.

MAMA_ONESHEET_27x40_V2.inddMa Ma has many messages in it; and they are all good ones. The most important one is, to live to the fullest no matter what is thrown at you.

I’ve been a long time fan of Penélope Cruz’ work and this is the most mature role I’ve seen her in. I liked the visuals it worked without it being too gimmicky.

The film brings you in and holds your interest.

The plot: Ma Ma follows Magda (Cruz) as she experiences tragedies and miracles alike. Just as Magda is diagnosed with breast cancer, she meets Arturo (Luis Tosar), a devoted husband and father in the midst of unspeakable loss. Their chance encounter leads both down a path of strength, grace, love, and rebirth.

The film opens in Los Angeles, May 27.
