Melissa McCarthy is The Boss

The Boss 2You know when it’s a Melissa McCarthy comedy some of it is going to be over the top. And The Boss doesn’t disappoint—they are some really funny scenes. And I had my share of laughter watching the film.

Michelle Darnell is a character that has been part of McCarthy’s life for about 15 or 16 years and she talks about her to us, so make sure to listen in on the conversation. She liked that a group of us had on red berets that were given to us. I even had her laughing at my beret that I just placed on top of my AFRO (see photo).

The Boss, directed by Ben Falcone (McCarthy’s husband) talked to us about his second directorial job.

Here’s a little synopsis: wealthy mogul Michelle Darnell (McCarthy) always gets her way, until she’s busted for insider trading and sent to federal prison. After leaving jail, Darnell finds herself broke, homeless and hated. Luckily, she tracks down former assistant Claire (Kristen Bell), the only person who’s willing to help.

The Boss was written and produced by McCarthy, Falcone and longtime partners. The cast also includes Peter Dinklage and Kathy Bates.

Melissa, Kristen and the rest of the cast were fun to watch and the conversations were fun. — A.O.
