“Made in Jersey” goes down fast, takes Felix Solis with it

You could probably have counted his on-screen time per episode on the fingers of both hands, but no more counting required: Made in Jersey, with Felix Solis as part of the supporting cast, has been pulled from the CBS primetime schedule, effective immediately. That means the legal drama about a Jersey Girl at a high-toned Manhattan law firm, wins the unhappy sweepstakes as the first new show of the season to be cancelled. (Well, not technically, at least not yet: it’s just being replaced at the moment: by the returning–and far more ratings-reliable–reality show, Undercover Boss in November, and the network may find somewhere/some time to ‘burn off’ the completed but unaired episodes, but given the show’s lackluster performance…don’t count on it. You’re more likely to find the tailings on CBS.com one of these days.)

It’s always sad when a show goes south, and even sadder when talented Latino actors get dragged down with the sinking ship, but at least CBS has added a number of other Latino players to the roster since the season began. Even with Jersey already gone and Partners inching towards the exit, the network still has five other shows, from NCIS to Vegas, with Latinos in strong supporting roles. And speaking of CBS.com, you can visit here any time and catch all three (three!) episodes of Made that actually aired.

Still: the cancellation express is leaving the station and starting to pick up steam. There will be plenty more passengers aboard before Christmas.
