Earning her third nomination, Sofía Vergara for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on ABC’s comedy hit, Modern Family. She’s had a busy year, even being named the highest paid actress on television by Forbes. You can check out some of our past posts on Sofia here and here. Over on Showtime, we have Bobby Cannavale for his second Emmy nom for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, for his role as a not so friendly hospital administrator, Dr. Mike Cruz on their hit comedy, Nurse Jackie. We recently did a post on Cannavale, you can check it out here. Also on Showtime, director Michael Cuesta for Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series for an episode of Homeland. Cuesta is a very busy guy too, he’s involved with CBS’ new Sherlock Holmes series, Elementary. Check on our past mentions on Cuesta, here and here.

The nominations are a little skimpy on the Latino talent, even though many shows with Latino involvement in front and behind the camera were nominated. With that said, we congratulate  everyone involved.
