Nicole Muñoz, Canadian Latina, is a Young Sci-Fi Dream in “Defiance” on SyFy

Nicole Muñoz, born and raised in Vancouver, BC, has been an actress all her life, and for much of it you’ve seen her in sf, fantasy, and superhero projects. He’s also a gifted dancer (award-winning, actually), and starred in Centre Stage: Turn It Up to prove it.

But for some reason, she’s made her biggest mark in science fiction and fantasy films. She was in The Fantastic Four, The Last Mimzy, Tooth Fairy, and Marmaduke. She’s guest-starred on Supernatural, Sanctuary, Stargate: Atlantis, and had a recurring role on ABC’s short-lived astronaut drama Defying Gravity. She’s currently appearing in one of the episodes of the new Netflix binge-fave Hemlock Grove, a murder mystery with werewolves, and she’s just finished filming a horror movie for SyFy, Scarecrow, with Lacey Chabert. She’s even got a pilot in the works, Rita, for Bravo.

And now she’s part of the much-anticipated science fiction/MMORPG drama Defiance, now on Mondays at 9P on SyFy. Or you can catch it any time on hulu, right here.

Here’s a quick interview about the first day of shooting Defiance from the YouTube channel HispanaMMORPG. She’s just as charming as you’d expect. Can you say “up and comer”?
