Louis C.K.’s series returns on Thursday nights

Set the TiVo for the weird time of 10:30P on FX, and catch the first new episode of Louie, Louie C.K.’s dark “comedy” that been making waves and causing conversation on FX for years now. And yes, Louis is Latino; he was born in Mexico and has lived with one foot in Latino culture most of his life. We talked about this last December right here, in a quick piece about him, including this clip from Conan, where he talked about growing up as a “white Mexican.”

Besides the series, Louis is about to embark on a multi-city, nationwide concert tour…and he’s raising a lot of dust with that, too. He’s selling all the tickets–all of them, to all his venues–through his own web site, circumventing ticket brokers and ticket-broker fees. (This is after his equally bold venture in selling a downloadable version of his most recent comedy ‘album’ through his own site…and making a pile of money in the process.) You can read about (and listen to) his entrepreneurial approach to ticket sales here, in a piece from L.A. FM radio station KCRW, and if you’re interested in learning more about the tour, buying tickets, or buying his other on-line products, visit his very cool site here.
