Eva Longoria, Mario Lopez to Co-Host “2014 NCLR ALMA AWARDS®”

Actress/advocate Eva Longoria and TV personality/actor Mario Lopez return to co-host the NCLR ALMA Awards, an annual ceremony which celebrates Latinos in media and entertainment. The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) is the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States. Longoria is also a longtime executive producer along with Janet Murguía, President and CEO of NCLR.

This year honorees include director/producer Guillermo del Toro (award for Industry Excellence), the cast of Orange is the New Black (Special Achievement in Television award), the film Cesar Chavez (Special Achievement in Film award), and performer Pitbull (Special Achievement in Music award).

Zoë Saldaña, Michael Peña, Aubrey Plaza, and José Diaz-Balart will appear as presenters during the ceremony.

During a one-hour live-streamed pre-show, entertainer Charo will be presented with the Ricardo Montalban Award for Lifetime Achievement.

The 15th annual ALMA Awards will be broadcast live on MSNBC and mun2 as a one-hour prime-time special on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10P EST/7P PST, followed by After the ALMAs withAlex Wagner, live on MSNBC at 11P EST/8P PST. For more information on the event, and presenters, keep checking the NCLR ALMA Awards site here.

The awards show will take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, CA.
