Pinocchio joins Walt Disney Signature Collection, first time on Digital HD and on Blu-ray™ now. Pinocchio is considered one of the greatest animated films ever made, with two Academy Awards® for best original score and best original song When You Wish Upon a Star.

I had the great pleasure of talking to Fox Carney who is manager of research of the Animation Research Library. A twenty-four-year veteran of the Walt Disney Company, he has spent nearly twenty one of those years, assisting in providing access to the estimated 65 million pieces of production art and material in the ARL collection for authors, artists and Disney project teams.

It was so much fun to see some of the original art created for all the Disney animations many of us grew up watching.

After Talking with Fox, I got to talk to film historian and author, J.B. Kaufman, who has written and lectured on Disney animation, American silent film, and related topics. His books include Pinocchio: The Making of the Disney Epic, The Fairest One of All, and South of the Border with Disney; and he is coauthor, with Russell Merritt, of Walt Disney’s Silly Symphonies and the award-winning Walt in Wonderland: The Silent Films of Walt Disney.
